About us
Akam Architects, founded in 2019 by Karthik and Anakha, is a design-led practice focused on innovative, sustainable architecture that balances function and aesthetics.
Karthik, a CET graduate with an MSc in Design: Products and Technology from Nottingham Trent University, brings expertise in product development, industrial design, sustainable architecture, and project leadership, having led over 60 projects across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors.
Anakha, also a CET graduate with an MA in Lighting Design from Edinburgh Napier University, specializes in integrating architectural lighting with design, creating spaces that are both functional and visually compelling.
Together, we design thoughtful, high-performance spaces that enhance how people live and work—crafted with precision, responsibility, and a commitment to excellence.
